For international executives, presenting, discussing and negotiating in English are all critical skills that must be mastered to successfully navigate an English dominated global business environment. Therefore, MCML focuses solely on developing our clients’ “Global English” skills, which center around:
Understanding the American English mindset
Developing English-based global business communication skills

This course was developed with the busy executive in mind, concentrating a large amount of material into a short amount of time. Our senior instructors have spent at least 15 years in business, rising from entry-level to managerial positions, and have the practical know-how to guide international female professionals on the path to be as successful as they can be. As a female owned and operated business, we take great pride in fostering other female professionals by improving their communication skills, negotiating tactics and global business acumen.
Professional Development Programs (for International Professionals)
For second language speakers, beginning the job search and navigating the hiring system can feel overwhelming and also confusing. MCML works with clients on a one-on-one basis throughout this entire process, from the resume writing stage to the final salary negotiations. We also work with clients needing specific advice and assistance on the job hunting process and follow up regularly to ensure that clients are making steady progress in finding a position that ideally suits their skill set and interests.
Corporate Language and Cultural Training Programs
For those companies who would like to provide their staff with personalized, tailored language programs, MCML can provide both short-term and long-
term courses to suit your needs. We coordinate closely with Human Resources and the prospective students to create and develop unique courses that are engaging, practical and applicable to their daily working lives. Additionally, we employ cutting-edge techniques, such as cross-
linguistic analysis and cross-cultural psychology to provide our clients with an understanding of the differences in thinking patterns between the target language and culture so that students will have a clear understanding of the similarities and differences between the languages.
Customized Individual and Group-based International Executive Training Programs
Through these tailored programs, international executives and professionals will gain the requisite skills to succeed in a global English environment. We have worked clients from across Asia, Europe and Latin America to provide each person with a fundamental understanding of the most important linguistic and cultural elements, while also implementing critical skills training. This dual approach has proven highly effective, with clients feeling more confident and comfortable in an English environment and in their workplaces in general. One of our particular foci is the importance of the voice in conveying leadership and confidence. To that end, MCML has developed a unique pronunciation system that targets adult ESL speakers. This system analyses and breaks down important sound patterns to demonstrate how the language is actually spoken by English speakers and how to mimic those same sound patterns. This has led to major improvements in accent and fluidity in less than half the time of other programs.
Cross-linguistic and Cross-cultural Mindset Development Programs
Building on a strong base in cognitive and comparative linguistics, these specialized programs are created and developed for organizations with a strong international workforce. Based on years of research into the cognitive differences behind language, and hence culture, these programs provide vital information to English-speaking managers on major cultural and linguistic patterns present in their multilingual workforce. Also, programs can be tailored specifically for international staff to provide them with important information on the American English mindset, thereby improving intraoffice relations and reducing the stress of working in a second language. Each program is created in close consultation with Human Resources, management and staff to ensure that all objectives are met.
These services are provided for individuals and families with children relocating to the United States as well as for corporations relocating international staff to the region. We work closely with the entire family or organization to ensure that the children of international professionals feel comfortable and adjust easily to an all-English environment. Additionally, we provide short-term and long-term temporary guardianship services, including medical/emergency interpreting services, for students of all ages.

Additionally, homestay programs can also be designed on a short or long-term basis for students wishing to experience typical American family life.
Subject-based Tutoring/Instruction for International Students
Adjusting to an all-English environment can be very difficult for many students, particularly when multiple subjects are taught exclusively in English without robust first language support. MCML provides multiple levels of after-school, at-home educational support for a wide range of English abilities and subject material. We work closely with the students to guide them through the entire instructional process, from first understanding simply the main points of the assignment and to eventually working closely with them to formulate complex thoughts and reasoning in English. Our students have excelled at a much faster rate than their peers specifically because we focus on the necessary skills the students will need to thrive in an all-English environment, including critical thinking, analytical skills and strong presentation and writing skills.
